To some, gaming headsets may seem like a casual accessory and not one worth wasting money on, but not all headsets were created equal, some have bad sound, some have a design only their creators could love and some are just plain wrong.
But between the half-decent’s and almost worth paying for, there are a few impressive gaming headsets worth checking out, we take a look at four of the best gaming headsets on the market for under £150.
SteelSeries Siberia Elite
From all the choices here, we would definitely recommend the SteelSeries Siberia Elite to anyone wanting to spend above £100. This a premium quality headset, built for PC gamers with gorgeous design and sound to match.
Like most in the Siberia series, the Elite comes with a flexible padded band that adjusts to the size of the users head. The end result makes sure the headset is fitted evenly on both sides, instead of pulling one side further out.

Sound comes from the 50mm speakers with Dolby virtual surround sound. The audio is rather impressive, deep and loud. The Siberia Elite offers a generous amount of padding to keep sound from leaking and give a cushion feel to the ears.
The illuminated ear cups are a nice finishing touch and show SteelSeries have a knack for design. Thankfully for the Siberia Elite, they have the sound to match this time and the price is not too steep for anyone who wants some genuine quality.
Razer Kraken Pro
Razer has a weird reputation, one would argue they make accessories more expensive with their brand, but others would argue that there is quality to be had with the extra price. The Razer Kraken Pro has a bit of both arguments mixed into one nice gaming headset.
We will admit compared to the competition the Razer Kraken Pro is about £20 too expensive, but that is just Razer in a nutshell. The design of the gaming headset better than most for this price and it shows Razer’s unique design style works better than the weird and wacky in the PC accessory world.

Like the SteelSeries Siberia Elite above, the comfortable large pads offer a nice cushion for the ears and the sound is quite impressive, but lacks any real top-notch quality to make this a valid choice for listening to music, for gaming it does fine.
The microphone on the Razer Kraken Pro works perfectly as well. Overall, the Razer Kraken Pro is a simple choice for anyone who wants a solid headset that will be more attractive than the other options further down the article.
Logitech G430
Design will always be a big factor when buying gaming headsets, but it all depends on the buyer. Logitech’s G430 is a little less of a star compared to the Razer Kraken Pro and SteelSeries Siberia Elite when it comes to design, but it makes up for it with performance.
The Logitech G430 is very highly rated by online forum users in multiple threads, showing at least some like it. Even though the Logitech model is only available in blue and has a square ear design instead of the circular seen on the previous two headsets, it looks like a real contender in the race.

The Logitech G430 does not let down when it comes to performance. Sound quality is awesome and unlike the SteelSeries Siberia Elite, the weight of the headset never feels apparent, giving users a way to play for hours on end without feeling slightly worn down by the gaming headset.
This is the cheapest headset of the four and we would still recommend it against the Razer Kraken Pro, especially for people who aren’t all that impressed with Razer’s looks and would rather try out a company known for solid performance in their accessories rather than a brand name.
Corsair Vengeance 1500
Onto the finale, the Corsair Vengeance 1500; we would say this is the most adequately priced for its performance, a little bit more expensive than the Logitech G430 and less expensive than the Razer Kraken Pro.
Most people on the Web seem to find this gaming headset to be the real deal and we can see why, it has great noise cancelling, impressive build quality, nice padding on the ears and offers really impressive sound.

The only issue we have with the Corsair Vengeance 1500 is the sound quality can have a little too much bass sometimes. Other than that, the gaming headset is the whole package and it comes at a reasonable price.
All of these headsets have cons, but since they are so minimal compared to others, we recommend trying them out. The SteelSeries Siberia Elite is personally our favorite, but since it is a bit higher budget it should offer more.
