This is it guys! 2015 is here and the games we’ve all been waiting for are just around the corner!
Looking back at 2014, there were games that really stood out while some turned out to be a bummer. Hopefully this year, our expectations would be met or at least provide us some quality entertainment worth its cost. And I’m not just talking about the price but also the long wait we had to endure.
Here are our top 10 picks for 2015:
Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
Release Date: May 19, 2015
Currently in development by CD Projekt RED, it has the potential to become one of the most captivating single-player action role-playing games in PC gaming world. Well, we still don’t know it yet but basing it on the first 2 parts of The Witcher series and of course its trailer, one cannot deny that the gameplay and the storyline are going to heat up some GPU’s. Also, having its released date delayed not once, but a few times since February 2013, I bet the frustration and anticipation only grew more.
Grand Theft Auto V
Release Date: March 25, 2015
Who doesn’t like Grand Theft Auto V? Really? Well, maybe parents of 10 year olds, but that doesn’t stop us from loving a bit of whacking and reckless driving (in-game of course!). Although the game was already released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox; the PC gamers have yet to experience the thrill with a mouse and the old favorite ASDW button. Thanks to its developer Rockstar North and publisher Rockstar Games.
Batman Arkham Knight
Release Date: June 2, 2015
This single-player action-adventure game developed by Rocksteady Studios in which Batman is involved. It is a no brainer that this game is right up the top of the list when Batman is involved! If you don’t believe me, you can ask Batman himself. That is “IF” you do find him.
Tom Clancy’s The Division
Release Date: TBA 2015
An open world third-person shooter with a touch of role-playing game developed by Ubisoft, this game surely goes to top 10 on our list. It may seem to have the same concept with most third-person shooter games out there but this game is more than that. With eye-widening graphics and awesome gameplay, you can bet this game will be a hit.
Star Wars Battlefront
Release Date: December 2015
Not to be mistaken with the same game named Star Wars Battlefront by Pandemic Studios released in 2004; this upcoming game is a reboot while being the same action single-player and multiplayer online and is developed by EA Digital Illusions CE.
Dead Island 2
Release Date: December 31, 2015
Following the success of Dead Island, this upcoming action role-playing survival game developed by Yager Development will officially hit the shelves at the end of the year. You can’t expect a top 10 list without a zombie in it especially if we’re talking about games did you? Anyway, who doesn’t like killing zombies? I for one had a blast playing L4D2 and of course Dead Island and not surprisingly, still am.
Mortal Kombat X
Release Date: April 14, 2015
A fighting game playable in single-player and multiplayer currently in development by NetherRealm Studios. You can expect new and more gruesome fatalities and expect for your old time favourites to be in the arena with you or against you! Also a fair warning to you all, playing this game may require you to have a back-up keyboard.
Resident Evil: Revelations 2
Release Date: February 18, 2015
Also known as Biohazard Revelations 2, the game is an episodic survival horror zombie game published by Capcom. Resident Evil: Revelations 2 is one of many zombie-killing games but with a deeper storyline. It has also been revealed, you can play two storylines which would make the game more repeatable.
Battlefield Hardline
Release Date: March 17, 2015
An upcoming first-person shooter game developed by Visceral games and in collaboration with EA Digital Illusions CE, the game features multiple gameplay that’s different from the traditional Battlefield game modes. In that sense, it became one of the most awaited games this year.
Street Fighter V
Release Date: TBA 2015
This is practically the classic Street Fighter but with the graphics is much more impressive! Produced by good ole Capcom that employs the same 2D gameplay. It is said to be released exclusively on PS4 and PC only; which it has become one of the most awaited games yet to be released.
Care to mention any games you’ve been waiting for? Let us know! I for one am excited for these games especially for my old time favorite Mortal Kombat.
