Two PC Cases You Might Have Overlooked In 2015

This early 2015, not only are CPUs, GPUs and motherboards have something to show for, but also the house that holds them together!

If you’re looking for a new upgrade or simply a better looking PC case, why not grab yourself one of the new cases released for this 2015? Yes, it might have some flaws and it might not be truly tested; but look at the bright side, it’s new, it’s fresh and it’s designed to support current technologies.

Here are two PC cases you may want to give it a try; one pricey and one affordable:

Deepcool’s Tristellar Case

Looking for a wild and unique design for a PC case? Then this one’s just for you. Tristellar case is a mini ITX enclosure that looks like it came out from the world of Star Wars. Consisting of three sections connected to a central hub, it’s looking more like a mini spaceship rather than a PC case. But don’t let your eyes deceive you, as this mini-ITX enclosure is fully capable of housing a monster gaming machine (now that the X99 motherboard is up and coming). If you’re wondering about GPU’s, no worries, it is also capable of supporting a full-sized GPU and to add a standard ATX power supply. Here are some details on this weird and intriguing PC case:

  • 1st section – This section can house a Mini-ITX motherboard plus a 122mm liquid cooler.
  • 2nd section – This houses the power supply, a pair of 3.5” storage device, and a slim slot-loading optical drive.
  • 3rd section – The last compartment can support a full-size dual-slot graphics card and three 2.5” hard drives.

The three compartment design wasn’t just made for looks, but also has a deeper purpose, and that is to have each compartment have their own air-flow loop to ensure that heat from the other compartments doesn’t interact.

Deepcool has not put this product up onto their website as just yet. But considering the hard work they must have gone through, it will not come cheap, as prices are said to go up to $400-$500.

Cougar’s QBX Mini-ITX

Another mini-ITX enclosure that can support up to seven fans or liquid cooling with radiators up to 240mm. If you’re wondering how? Well the QBX Mini-ITX was brilliantly designed with only 158mm W x 373.5mm D x 282 mm H in size. Check out more details below:

  • USB 3.0
  • Supports up to five HDDs or SSDs
  • Slim Optical Disc Drive
  • ATX PSU’s up to 140mm
  • Two 120 mm fans for top and bottom
  • 80mm fan at the front
  • 90mm fan at the back (pre-installed)
  • Left panel can support 120mm radiator fan
  • Designed for optimal cooling

QBX mini-ITX is said to be priced at $59.90 and is expected to come out late April, 2015.
