The new partnership between Intel and Raptr has given hope to those who have Intel integrated graphics to get a better gaming experience with the new Raptr software to help enhance gaming. Tech News

Just recently, Intel announced a partnership with Raptr to bring the same great feature as it did with AMD. While we do know Intel GPU’s are not that comparable with AMD’s high-end GPU’s, the Raptr program will most likely enhance Intel’s low-end integrated graphics.

Talking about graphics, Intel isn’t quite there yet but isn’t that far behind either. Partnering up with Raptr (IMHO) most surely puts them a step closer to its graphics’ potential.

Also, knowing that Intel integrated graphics can already handle mid-tier-graphical games such as Dota 2, Lol, all the way up to Diablo 3 and Skyrim (considering settings have been modified), we can only expect a better performance with Raptr along with them.

The Purpose

Now that the partnership is public, Raptr is now embracing Intel’s technology with the sole purpose of letting gamers have optimized game performance with integrated graphics with just a click of a mouse.

Raptr is an already well-known PC gaming utility that improves performance for games and even hardware. It provides user settings that can be tweaked to whatever the user might think are best or it can be simply automated. This works by having Raptr scans your system and finding and applying the best setting through a game’s performance with over millions of other gamer’s system.

“Looking at the 40 million plus users that we have on Raptr, we know that close to ninety percent of PC gamers never touch their settings. They just use what comes right out of the box.”

Intel on the other hand, as we know it focuses only on integrated GPU’s. Not that it’s bad, but it can hinder users from using its potential of becoming a gaming material. Knowing Raptr as a gaming utility, it could totally help Intel in regards with its updates and driver performance, which in soon could potentially be used for better a performance via recommendations.

The Test

Using HP’s Envy X360 with Intel’s Core i5 chipset, Raptr showed an example of what Intel users/gamers can expect by using its software and the results were noticeably well. Using Counter-Strike: Global Offensive as a medium, here were the results:

  • Default Settings – Game is doing considerably well at 69 FPS but with a pretty low-res textures and really low resolution.
  • Raptr’s Performance Settings – Surprisingly enough, the FPS went up to 75 by using performance settings with the same texture and resolution.
  • Raptr’s Balance Optimization Settings – At a higher resolution and a better texture, the game runs at a decent 53 FPS

With the results, this could only mean significant changes to your gaming’s performance. And to think, Raptr just recently partnered with Intel.
