Nvidia have updated the line of laptop gaming GPUs from the GTX 965m to the 980m to support G-sync in full. The addition of G-sync to many upcoming laptops, such as Clevo models that have 4k displays, as well as ones with 1080p displays, will be a great way to have much smoother framerates and better gameplay.
G-sync Laptops: Much better gameplay, on the go!

The inclusion of Nvidia’s G-sync technology on many upcoming gaming notebooks will have great impacts on the smoothness of gaming on the new PC’s. Due to how G-sync works, the refresh rate and the framerate will be synchronized- eliminating tearing, micro-stutter, and other issues that break up the smoothness and playability of a video-game. The way notebook PC’s work, Nvidia has been working with the associated vendors to make sure that the laptop displays are functioning well with the technology, and to make sure each system is fine-tuned to provide a functioning G-sync experience. The new notebooks are going to range in spec and price, from GTX 965m GPU’s all the way to GTX 980m’s. There is yet to be seen whether the G-sync will have an effect on price of notebooks that feature it, but it will likely add somewhat of a premium to the price of a laptop with it.
The inclusion of this new technology on laptops means that now mobile GPUs are even closer to their desktop GPU counterparts- not only in performance and specification, but also in features! The inclusion of G-sync on laptop displays and GPUs means that even though you have a laptop, you can experience the silky smooth gameplay that G-sync, for the first time. AMD has had Freesync enabled laptops for some time now, but had to mod in the functionality. Now Nvidia has released official, well-supported laptops that have G-sync built-in and ready to go- which adds a whole new level of gaming!
